Dunoyer is hiring a carpentry manager to join its team in Poisy.

Tasks

  • Develop the carpentry activity beyond our new-build timber frame and post-and-beam projects, including “tertiary” (commercial) and renovation projects
  • In coordination with the project manager, you analyze and respond to tenders (cost estimates, technical studies, and commercial proposals)
  • Lead and manage teams
  • In collaboration with the design office (BE), you are able to produce drawings using Cadwork during periods of increased activity, and carry out structural calculations using MDBAT
  • Working with the workshop manager, you monitor and negotiate material orders with various suppliers to ensure the best price, quality, and delivery times
  • Coordinate, plan, and supervise worksites in close collaboration with the relevant departments: design office, production, and site teams
  • Monitor workshop and site hours (in line with estimated targets)
  • Anticipate workload and optimize resources in coordination with the relevant managers
  • Participate in the recruitment of carpentry team members
  • Anticipate and oversee the maintenance of machinery, lifting equipment, and vehicles, in coordination with general services
  • Ensure technical and aesthetic quality, deadlines, and profitability for each project
  • Proactively contribute ideas and recommendations for future development

Job

  • Ideally, you have graduated from a wood engineering school (although we are also open to candidates such as carpenters who have managed their own business, for example)
  • You have at least 10 years of experience in team and project management within the timber construction industry
  • You know how to support and develop your team members, demonstrating strong leadership and great attention to detail, while maintaining practical, hands-on common sense and team cohesion
  • You are highly autonomous and well-organized, while also able to report effectively to management
  • You have excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques and timber frame construction
